WATCH: Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley, Congressman Dan Kildee talk about cancer inequities

FLINT, MI — City officials and U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee joined with national organizations in releasing a new report on Tuesday, Jan. 24, that raises alarms about disparities in cancer risk, screenings and treatment in medically underserved communities across the nation, including Flint.

The National Minority Quality Forum and CEO Roundtable on Cancer announced the report, which has been submitted to the Cancer Moonshot team at the White House Office of Technology. Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley, Kildee, D-Flint Twp., and others joined the groups’ news conference via live stream from St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
