Community Pharmacist Ambassadors led by the National Minority Quality Forum's Center for Sustainable Healthcare Quality and Equity serve as health educators outside of the pharmacy, providing sound health information and increasing public recognition of the vital role pharmacists can play in health promotion. Learn how to publicly communicate up-to-date information with a focus on patients of color and sign up for health education opportunities in your community. Wellness Warriors

Are you a barbers or stylist interested in sparking health promotion at the community level? The Health Advocates In-Reach and Research (HAIR) Wellness Warriors has partnered with the Center for Sustainable Health Care and Equity (SHC) Health Champions Program to expand the Wellness Warriors program, which originated in Baltimore, MD, to over 20 additional geographical locations across the country to increase health awareness, and increased vaccination rates in African American and Hispanic communities.

NMQF Policy Resources

The National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) has established the Institute for Equity in Health Policy and Practice in response to the forward-looking consensus that equity must become integral to the American health services research, delivery and financing system. The Institute facilitates information exchange, educational efforts and consensus building regarding policy options that are supportive of a 21st century re-envisioning of a health system that centers equity, reduces patient risk and sustains the health and well-being of families and communities. Institute activities can include Thought Leaders in Equity Roundtables, issue-specific educational efforts, monthly briefings and policy webinars.
