WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 21, 2026) — National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) today released the official agenda for its NMQF Leadership Summit on Health Disparities and Health Braintrust on April 27-28th in Washington, D.C. at the Conrad Hotel in Washington, D.C., convening national leaders to advance solutions that improve access, equity, and outcomes in healthcare.
The 2026 Summit, themed “ACCESS: Advancing Community-Centered Care through Environment Sensitive Standards” grounded in NMQF’s Physical Laws Framework (PLF), will bring together policymakers, healthcare executives, researchers, advocates, and community leaders to examine how data-driven, biologically aligned care models can address persistent disparities and strengthen health systems serving underserved populations.
The newly released agenda features a dynamic mix of plenary sessions, expert panels, and breakout discussions focused on translating research into real-world impact. Sessions will explore emerging public health priorities, the role of environment and biology in shaping health outcomes, and strategies to expand equitable access to care across communities disproportionately affected by disease.
Day one will feature opening remarks from national leaders across faith, policy, and medicine, followed by sessions focused on translating research into accessible care, strengthening community immunity through vaccination, and advancing women’s health across the lifespan. Additional discussions will address provider burnout, workforce sustainability, Alzheimer’s disease disparities, and the role of food as medicine. The day will conclude with a national town hall examining the current state of public health leadership at the federal and state levels.
Day two will continue with forward-looking conversations on healthcare system consolidation and its impact on access, youth mental health, hereditary disease, and the role of policy in shaping affordability. The Summit will also feature the prestigious Booker T. Washington Awards, recognizing leaders and organizations advancing health equity, as well as sessions examining drug pricing and public health policy.
