Disparities in lupus outcomes and care are prevalent, with women of color being 2-3x more likely to be diagnosed with lupus than white women. Clinical trials are an important factor in improving lupus care; however, women of color are underrepresented in clinical trials. NMQF and Biogen have worked together to improve clinical trial diversity and ultimately lupus care through the Clinical Trial Learning Community model.
