“The Cancer Moonshot, Public Policy, and Medically Underserved Cancer Care Communities” report, authored by Gary Puckrein, President of NMQF, and MaryLisabeth Rich, President of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, introduces a public/private partnership, with the hope of igniting many more, to reimagine cancer detection and care in communities in which we, the public, have permitted an excessive burden of cancer to destroy lives and bring misery to surviving loved ones.

By our social contract, the terms of which are the preservation of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we, who are at once the governors and the governed, have an obligation to one another. We are invoking those terms to bring a nation together to aid long-neglected communities.
