The National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) has joined more than 40 organizations in endorsing the Health Equity and Accountability Act (HEAA) of 2026, comprehensive legislation introduced by members of the Congressional Tri-Caucus to address health disparities and expand access to high-quality, culturally responsive care.

The legislation includes provisions to strengthen the healthcare workforce, improve health data collection, expand culturally and linguistically appropriate care, support disease-prevention programs, and address social determinants of health.

NMQF President and CEO Gary Puckrein emphasized that achieving health equity requires strong evaluation, transparent reporting, and accountability to ensure programs produce measurable improvements for underserved communities.
