Washington D.C. (August 28, 2025) — On August 13 in Oak Bluffs Martha’s Vineyard, MA, the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) and SurviveHER brought together women, advocates, and health leaders for Vineyard Vibes and Breast Health ConvHERsations—an impactful day focused on sisterhood, wellness, and critical breast health education.

Set against the lively backdrop of Martha’s Vineyard, the event fostered meaningful dialogue and provided an engaging forum for sharing knowledge and experiences. Guests shared in a day filled with inspiration, empowerment, and practical resources aimed at strengthening communities most impacted by breast cancer.

The event underscored a critical need: building greater capacity for breast cancer support among organizations dedicated to Black women. Convenings like Vineyard Vibes play a vital role in bringing together advocates, providers, and innovators to exchange best practices, implement new technologies, and deepen collaboration—especially in this era where culturally responsive care and inclusive solutions remain urgent priorities.

The program also spotlighted NMQF’s Support Our Sisters initiative, which provides resources and support to Black and Hispanic women facing metastatic breast cancer while also living with other long-term illnesses. By amplifying patient voices and offering practical tools for care management, the initiative seeks to close gaps in equity and ensure that no woman is left to face her journey alone.

“Events like Vineyard Vibes remind us of the power of community—when women come together to share, learn, and lift one another up, it has a ripple effect that saves lives,” said Taylarr Lopez, Health Communications Director at NMQF.
