WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 21, 2025) —Today, National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) announced its 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health for 2025 that will receive recognition and awards at the NMQF Leadership Summit on Health Disparities and Health Braintrust on April 28-29th in Washington, D.C.
Last month, NMQF announced the Summit’s 2025 theme: “From Data to Action: Uniting to Advance Evidence-Informed Solutions for Medically Underserved Communities.” Discussions will focus on leveraging data to drive systemic change, ensuring that evidence-based solutions translate into meaningful improvements in patient care and public health.
Since 2016, NMQF has annually selected 40 health leaders from minoritized populations under the age of 40 who have been leading the charge to better patient outcomes and build sustainable healthy communities. These leaders are clinicians, patient advocates, researchers, and policy influencers. These 40 leaders have persevered in strengthening their communities and reducing health disparities amid ongoing challenges within the healthcare system.
“It is more important than ever that we champion the next generation of leaders that will be critical in shaping the path ahead of all of us in the fight for optimal care for underserved communities,” said Dr. Gary Puckrein, President and Chief Executive Officer at the National Minority Quality Forum. “The daily work of these leaders demonstrate the best ways we can collectively meet the need of this growing market in health care.”
“We need the best leaders and real solutions for our most vulnerable communities and the healthcare infrastructure they depend on,” stated Rep. Robin Kelly, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust. “I am confident that this class of health leaders will elevate the standard of care for patients and build a strong healthcare infrastructure for our country.”
The 40 Under 40 Winners will receive their awards during the 2025 NMQF Summit on Health Disparities and Health Braintrust April 28 – 29, 2025. For information and registration, please visit https://nmqf.org/annual-summits/2025-annual-leadership-summit/.
