The National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) will host a free Community Health Mini Clinic on April 26, 2025, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This community-centered event aims to provide 100–150 participants with access to essential health screenings and services, including breast exams, colon cancer screenings, kidney evaluations, lung risk assessments, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, dietitian consultations, mental health support, optical and dental exams, and cancer counseling services.
Vaccinations for COVID-19, HPV, and RSV will also be available to both insured and uninsured individuals. Attendees will receive a “health passport” to guide them through the event and ensure coordinated access to follow-up care and resources.
The clinic, organized in collaboration with Divine 9s, local community groups, healthcare systems, and advocacy organizations, is part of a broader effort to improve early detection, promote preventive care, and reduce health disparities in underserved communities like Upper Marlboro. The event will feature additional amenities, including free food, music, and giveaways to create a welcoming, supportive environment for all attendees.
