The DRIVing Equity in Colorectal Cancer Screening report focuses on efforts to address colorectal cancer (CRC) screening disparities among minoritized communities through community interventions and quality improvement initiatives. The Center for Sustainable Health Care Quality and Equity developed the DRIVE toolkit to enhance CRC screening in five high-burden geographic areas, including Houston; Chicago; Birmingham; Queens, NY; and Prince George’s County, MD. Collaborations with community partners, such as the Faith Health Alliance and HAIR Wellness Warriors, played a crucial role in increasing awareness, educating the public, and improving screening rates. The report highlights successful outreach campaigns, educational events, and the implementation of screening tools like Cologuard, contributing to improved access to CRC care in these communities.
