This issue brief explores how Black and Hispanic/Latina women living with metastatic breast cancer (mBC) and chronic conditions experience fragmented, burdensome care. Based on a national survey and Listening Lab, the brief highlights six key challenges—comorbidities, medication burden, poor provider communication, caregiver strain, emotional distress, and inadequate culturally relevant support. Using NMQF’s Physical Laws Framework (PLF), it frames these challenges as violations of biological principles that should guide equitable healthcare. The brief concludes with six actionable recommendations to realign systems with the biological needs and lived realities of these women.
