NMQF Announces 2025 Summit Theme: “From Data to Action” and Opens Applications for 40 Under 40 Minority Leaders in Health Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 6, 2025) — The National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) is pleased to announce the theme for its 2025 Annual Leadership Summit on Health Disparities: “From Data to Action: Uniting to Advance Evidence-Informed Solutions for Medically Underserved Communities.” This timely theme reflects NMQF’s commitment to transforming research and data-driven insights into actionable policies and initiatives that promote optimal care for all communities.

The Summit, to be held at a new location, The Conrad Hotel in Washington, D.C. on April 28-29th, will bring together key stakeholders, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and advocates dedicated to improving health outcomes in medically underserved communities. Discussions will focus on leveraging data to drive systemic change, ensuring that evidence-based solutions translate into meaningful improvements in patient care and public health.

As part of its mission to cultivate the next generation of healthcare leaders, NMQF is also calling for applications for its prestigious 40 Under 40 Minority Leaders in Health Awards by March 7th. This annual recognition highlights young professionals who are making a significant impact in advancing health equity through research, policy, clinical care, advocacy, and innovation.

Since 2016, NMQF has annually selected 40 health leaders from minoritized populations under the age of 40 who have been leading the charge to better patient outcomes and build sustainable healthy communities. These leaders are clinicians, patient advocates, researchers, and policy influencers. These 40 leaders have persevered in strengthening their communities and reducing health disparities amid ongoing challenges within the healthcare system.

Eligible candidates must be under the age of 40 and demonstrate leadership, dedication, and a proven commitment to improving health outcomes for minoritized and underserved populations.

Interested applicants can submit their nominations and learn more about the criteria at https://nmqf.org/40-under-40/.
